Key Benefits of RxAdvanced: Antimicrobial Stewardship

Improve patient outcomes. As trained experts in the recognition, treatment, and prevention of infection, pharmacists who complete this program can help lower mortality rates, curb the spread of drug-resistant infections, and minimize the unintended consequences of over exposure to antibiotics.

Ease the healthcare burden. Patients with antibiotic-resistant infections have longer stays, more expensive, complicated care, and higher readmission rates. Our training educates pharmacists to improve prescribing practices, reducing excess costs linked to unnecessary use of antibiotics, which in turn relieves the overburdened healthcare system.

Meet or exceed national standards. Your commitment to training pharmacists for participation and leadership in antimicrobial stewardship prepares your hospital to meet regulatory guidelines based on core elements recognized by the healthcare industry as essential for improving patient safety.

Foster organizational change. An effective antimicrobial stewardship program changes the way healthcare professionals work and relate to each other. Pharmacists who gain infectious disease expertise through authoritative sources like TRC Healthcare can adapt behaviors and processes. They serve as catalysts of complex organizational changes that improve patient safety.
