International Journal of Nephrology: Variation in Assessing Renal Allograft Rejection: A National Assessment of Nephrology Practice
This baseline QURE study observed significant variation among the providers in assessing renal allograft rejection. This flagged that there were numerous inappropriate biopsies in patients not having rejection and numerous patients not being biopsied who were having rejection. In the follow-up study, “Randomized clinical trial of a novel donor-derived cfDNA test to detect rejection in CPV-simulated renal transplant patients”, diagnostic accuracy improved, providing evidence of clinical utility.
