NatMed Update: Get Ready for Questions about Fluoride
New evidence about fluoride exposure in kids is getting a lot of attention in the media. Providers should prepare to talk about this with parents. Our NatMed article explains that many of the recent headlines are based on observational research, which suggests that exposure to drinking water with fluoride levels of over 1 mg/L may be linked with lower IQ scores in kids. But none of these studies were conducted in the US.
