Journal of the American Medical Association: Comparison of Vignettes, Standardized Patients, and Chart Abstraction
In this study, we compared QURE’s clinical vignette practice measurement approach to standardized patient actors (the gold standard) and chart abstraction across over 100 physicians. We found that the patient simulations captured actual practice choices more accurately than chart abstraction and nearly as well as standardized patients but were much more scalable.
